One of the suprising highlights of this year's celebration was this beautiful display of cupcakes, made by one of our own youngsters, Madison (shown below with Fr. Wasyl). Her hard work and dedication to the parish is an inspiration to us all!

Eastern Eparchy Youth Festival

The Eparchial Gathering/Youth Festival was held on Sunday June 24, at the St. Volodymyr Centre in Oakville. It was well attended, with nearly 300 people taking part in the festivities. After the Hierarchal Liturgy, people enjoyed their picnic lunches under the trees and inside the Centre. Following lunch, numerous games and sports were played by young and old alike. In the Centre, a movie was screened, and there was a presentation by our own parishioner Tanya Hluchaniuk about her mission trip to orphanages in Ukraine. After yet more games, we filed back into the chapel for a Vespers service, and then back outside for a BBQ dinner. The evening wrapped up with a "Vatra" and sing-a-long.

A beautiful day was enjoyed by everyone. This is definitely something that we want to build on for future years with higher attendance, participation and interaction with all the Eastern Eparchy parishes.
